River Creek Club first opened for play in 1997. The course was designed by Thomas E. Clark of Ault Clark Associates.
River Creek Club is the Washington, D.C. area's first private, gated country club community. The 600-acre planned community, with their championship golf course, borders the Potomac River
This course stretches along two miles of the Potomac River, northwest of Washington D.C. Five holes on the course border the Potomac and two holes mingle with Goose Creek. The course is very scenic with many elevation changes. The signature hole is #15, a 391-yard, par 4, which requires a tee shot over a large cavern. The second shot necessitates careful navigation around the Potomac, which borders the green.
Designed in the spirit and tradition of the finest private country club courses, River Creek plays 5,241 to 7,036 yards from four sets of tees and is sure to please golfers of all skill levels.
